It’s football season!  And, with football comes tailgating or a quick grill before the game.  Well, here’s one of our favorites for the grill.  Great flavor and a great kick for the kick-off!  Note, although jalapeños are used, these aren’t really overwhelmingly spicy as some of the spice burns off with the grilling.

Food With a Kick!  That’s What’s Up!

Jalapeño and Cheddar Stuffed Turkey Burgers

*2 lbs. ground turkey
*approx. 2-4 jalapeño peppers chopped
*½ onion, chopped
*1 fresh garlic clove
*approx. ½ cup of fresh parsley, chopped
*1½ Tbsp. crumbled beef bouillon
* SPOG (Salt, Pepper, Onion powder, Garlic powder), to taste
* approx. 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
*sharp cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes (sharp cheddar works better as it has more of a tang that stands out after the burgers are grilled).

1.Prepare all chopped and cut ingredients above.
2.Mix all ingredients above EXCEPT cheese.

3.Take a hand full of the meat mixture and form into a patty ball.

4. Create a dip/pocket in the patty ball.

5. Place about 12-15 small cheese cubes into the dip.

6. Fold meat carefully over the cheese cubes and make a ball being sure to hide all the cheese so that it doesn’t burn on the grill.

7. Carefully make a patty.

8.Grill patty.

9. Remove from the grill.

10. Place on bun and garnish as desired.

  1. These look incredibly yum!
